THz PHOTONICS & OPTICAL SIGNAL PROCESSING

Our research goal is to develop new science, technology and applications for the Terahertz band (100 GHz – 10 THz) for sensing, industrial quality control and communications. We aim at exploiting the unique features of THz radiation to address industrial problems, and thus we collaborate with different companies to bridge the gap between academy and industry.

 

The group also has interest in the study and developement of new optical signal processing schemes, mainly for microwave photonics and polarization control. In this area we have particular interest in exploiting nonlinear effects to achieve efficient methods of light control.
