DISruptive depth CAMeras with advanced Nano Imprint Lithography (DISCAMNIL)

DISCAMNIL aims to develop new concepts in the development of camera devices used in applications as robots management, face-recognition or mobile applications. The main objectives of the project are:

• Replacing currently plastic molded lenses by diffractive metalenses to improve optical quality and camera performance while reducing size and costs.

• Integrating layered metamaterial space plates which will drastically reduce camera size while preserving image quality.

• Monolithic integration techniques which will enable wafer-level camera manufacturing that
will drastically reduce size and cost per camera while preserving image quality.
